Zalayna Jenkins

Miss Black Harris County

Zalayna Antonia Jenkins was born in Dallas, Texas, to Helena Robinson and Raymond Jenkins.

 

She attended the prestigious Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts, where she studied Theatre and Dance.

 

Zalayna continued her education at Prairie View A&M University, graduating with a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

 

Currently, she works as a Project Manager for the federal government in New Orleans, Louisiana.

 

In 2019, Zalayna was crowned Miss Black Harris County, and she later became Miss Black Louisiana 2020 in the MBIA Pageant system.

 

Zalayna is incredibly grateful for her life's journey so far and would like to express her heartfelt thanks to God, as well as her family and friends who have continuously supported her in all her endeavors.
