Teque'lia Lewis, 36, is a proud Houston native and the 2019 Ms. Black Harris County of the Miss Black Houston Pageant. She currently serves as Press Secretary for Congressman Al Green in the United States House of Representatives, representing Texas’ Ninth Congressional District. A devoted mother and seasoned communications expert, Teque'lia holds a Bachelor of Science in Communication Studies from Prairie View A&M University and an MBA from Strayer University.
With over 20 years of experience in public relations, broadcast journalism, and marketing, she is a passionate advocate for human and civil rights, with a deep commitment to uplifting and empowering the Black community. Teque'lia is also a dedicated supporter of women battling breast cancer and leads Black Queen Media as a photographer, using her lens to honor and amplify the strength, beauty, and brilliance of Black women.
